Sarah Michelle Gellar's new film, which may be titled "The Return," has a release date. Filmjerk reports the release date for the "untitled SMG supernatural thriller" will be September 1st.

IMDB has been referring to it as "The Return" since at least October 16. Time will tell if this is, in fact, the true title.

Actually it has recieved a new title, it's gonna be called The Return.

As Djunglelurban notes, it has been going by The Return for a while, at least on IMDB. No real independent confirmation though. I've added this info to the link description.

Actually the title The Return is not confirmed and neither is the date

One site Bloody-disgusting.com gave Rogue Pictures as their source for the date but their was nothing on Rogue films site.

ETA I see SNT has pointed out that the title is not confirmed.

garda39 is Rouge Pictures the same as Focus Features, which is the company filmjerk listed as the production company.

As far as I understand the relationship between the two companies Rouge Pictures is the production arm of Focus Features

On the Focus Features website the company is described as, "... A motion picture production, financing and worldwide distribution company." On the same website, it is stated that, "The company's Rogue Pictures label is devoted to producing and distributing high-quality suspense, action, thriller, comedy and urban entertainment with mainstream appeal and franchise potential."

If you read farther down, Filmjerk estimates the SMG movie will open in 3250+ theaters.

It lists the date at that numbers of cinema point as September 8th
