Felicia Day gives an update on the Dr. Horrible DVD. She tweets "BTW recorded some of the Dr. Horrible musical commentary track last week. Frikkin' HILARIOUS! Whedons=genius! (Maurissa too)".

Musical commentary? MUSICAL COMMENTARY!? What has this world come to? Ungodly amounts of awesome, that's what. Thanks much to the Whedon bunch (and their soon to be).

No worries The Xan man . A musical commentary was announced months ago. I believe at the Singalong they said they had all been working on it earlier that day.

I must say I am not the most devoted listener of commentaries, although the Objects in Space and Spin the Bottle ones lie in a league of their own (for different reasons), but I love musicals and I love the idea of a musical commentary to a musical. Does anyone know if they are the same songs with different lyrics, or completely different songs? I don't actually know which I'd prefer...

Can't wait :D I live for good commentaries. skittledog, if, by chance, you are a Farscape fan. Listen to any commentary with Ben Browder, Claudia Black and David Kemper. Better than the show and that is pretty dang hard to do..

Last I heard there would be a regular commentary and a musical commentary, but not a commentary on the musical commentary. (That doesn't mean things haven't changed; just that this the last I heard.)

I just watched Dr. Horrible today for the first time in months. It is just as amazing as it was in those crazy golden days of July (back before we feared Dollhouse's future).

I really cannot wait for this.

I'm so looking forward to this. It very much balances out the gloom and doom of the latest Dollhouse threads. I wonder if it has the same revitalizing effect on Joss & co.

Anyway: commentary on the musical commentary is a great concept, but I doubt it'd be easy to get that to work, seeing as how the musical commentary features no visuals one could use as anchorpoints for discussing the musical commentary. I guess a better way would be a regular 'making of the musical commentary' feature, with actual footage.

Also: whee, moist-song! :)

Where was it said that the musical commentary would have no visuals? I admit I would be a little tiny bit surprized, but I can see them standing around the piano, singing and videoing each other.

I would expect that the commentary on the musical commentary would take the form of a dumbshow, possibly poorly-lit, with costumes. Maybe a pianola score of some sort would be involved...

I wonder whom I should contact to offer Russian subtitles for Dr.Horrible to be included on that DVD.
It was a collective fan project including couple of professional editors/translators, and I'm especially happy about song translations - some of them turned out to be outstanding, and on the beat too. There's no contact info on drhorrible.com, is there a - er - sureer way to contact them?
