Buffy and Angel Conquer the Internet: Essays on Online Fandom. This scholarly look at the wackiness that is our fandom will be coming out some time next year. Buying the book will set you back $35 and it's available for pre-ordering over at Amazon.com.

Count me in, I love reading this kind of stuff!

Does anyone have any info about the specific essay topics and their authors? And will the black be getting a shout out?

Mary Kirby-Diaz is a professor of sociology at Farmingdale State College in New York, with a study specialty in pedagogy and community mediation. A Buffy fan, she began researching the show’s popular culture in 2003.

Way to come to the party late, Ms. Kirby-Diaz! ;-)

Anyone know what's actually IN this? Have any of OUR esteemed authors contributed to it? I remain skeptical...
