Snyder listed in the AV Club's 26 Worst Educators. The AV Club gives a nice shout out to Snyder at #15.

I was surprised to see Ed Rooney so low on the list. He is my favorite love-to-hate educator.

Perhaps his philosophy is best summed up by a line in "School Hard":
"A lot of educators tell students, 'Think of your principal as your pal.'
I say, 'Think of me as your judge, jury, and executioner.' "

I had forgotten that line. Those Mutant Enemy writers sure can bring the funny.

I think Cordelia best summed up Principal Snyder with the line "How about because you're a tiny, impotent Nazi with a bug up his butt the size of an emu!"

Dean Vernon Wormer, Miss Trunchbull, Principal Ed Rooney and Principal Snyder are the ones that should be at the top, in my opinion.

I love the Breakfast Club, but he barely even rates on my list. Not even close to the others. The ones I mentioned are much superior and dynamic performances. Pure, cruel glee.

Possibly some points for the Penguin in the Blues Brothers.
