Gaah! So much of my personal fandom is crossing lately, the hell? First Simon Pegg and Keith Olbermann on the same 'E' promo show, together onscreen (in what world does THAT happen?)! - now this?

Also, Frank can't wait for Dollhouse.

Same here, but I'm not surprised TV's Frank is gishing over what Joss has done. He is part of the first great basic cable TV shows ever, namely MST3K. They also broke a lot of rules, thanks to execs who let them do their thing--until they didn't. There is a new entertainment revolution here, snd Dr. Horrible and Cinematic Titanic are leading the way. They know if they have good entertaining shows, they can bypass the network middleman and do just fine financially.
I wonder if Frank needs a Dollhouse poster?

Man, when fandoms collide - first at ComicCon and now here.

I hafta say, the admiration and respect of TV's Frank is pretty damn meaningful - and not just because I love MST3K, Cinematic Titanic and Rifftrax - but because he has an encyclopedic knowledge of film and really remarkable taste.

I can't say how chuffed or something I am on behalf of Joss & Co. - and how much even more than I did already I like Frank Conniff.

This is like friggin' cooler than zippers.

Ah, this is the nice thread. I don't understand much about what it means, because I never watched the show involved. But I'd rather stay here than go back out to the outside, where there are many fights going on. I probably started a lot of the fights. OK, going now.

Through time it was learned that humans best read black letters on white background. But those kids of today who still have perfect eyes don't give a crap about that and produce all kinds of crap unreadable pages. But I guess that means it isn't that important what is written on the page.

That was really awesome. Go TV's Frank! I've been an MST3k fan for a long time. My favorite is I Accuse My Parents. I also bought the first Cinematic Titanic feature on DVD. It had a classic use of the song "These Boots Are Made for Walking." We were laughing 'til we cried.

Soooooo... MST3k. Before the Comic-Con threads here, I had never even heard about it and Cinematic Titanic and Rifftrax meant absolutely nothing to me before this thread. MST3k (I wikipedia'd it) does sound like fun, though.

But this was a fun post. And yes, Jane's blog is great. Even if you're not an aspiring screen writer. Also: woo, Dollhouse! :)

I love his writing style. The part about Growing Pains made me giggle. And this:

Any high contrast will work, but it would be a pretty boring web without some color. Besides which the 'kids today' in this link are largely pushing 50. That and the site that you are complaining about this on is high contrast white-on-black. Just sayin' :)

OMG! TV's Frank is a Joss Whedon fanatic too! His post was brilliant and insightful and I just gained more respect for the man (as if I didn't already love him enough for his part in MST3K and now Cinematic Titanic).

By the way, for anyone that enjoyed MST3K in the past, I highly recommend checking out Cinematic Titanic. I would start with the second release, Doomsday Machine, since they ironed out some of the kinks from the first one a bit better by this one.
