Am I the only one who finds this a tiny tiny bit creepy? I mean, those aren't prop books, this site is basically deconstructing Jonathan Reilly's bookshelf (apologies if I've spelt the name wrong, bad memory and all).

SMG is an extra in a wig and sunglasses...the Serenity model is really just pots and pans...then came the my little pony figures dressed up as Horrible & Hammer and the discovery that welding goggles may require some textured paint to become silver. Now we have detailed breakdowns of the books in the background of one quick screen shot. And this is despite the fact that everyone already knows the books are incidental as they happen to belong to the owner of the home that was used for filming.

We seriously need The Dollhouse on the air, like now...

Oh come on. This is just a bit of fun! And it was done on a blog dedicated to books! Why wouldn't they be interested in what was on the shelf, be it Dr Horrible's books or J. Reilly's? It's not who the books belong to, it's just that they are books that they wanted to name to see if they could.
I've seen a lot of creepy things done in the name of fandom. This most definitly doesn't seem like one of them.

Awww, I always wanna read the books on any shelf that I can even halfway see, from TV to movies, from Dollhouse to Joss' office. (The book I can identify chez Joss is this one.) Book people love looking at other folkses li-berries - fictional or real.

It says more about one's interest in books than it does anything else - I don't find it at all creepy, myself, but then, I wouldn't... just kinda sweet...

One or two look like phone books korkster but the photo's so blurry that even if they're real you'd have to have them right on your shelf to recognise them I reckon.

Don't really see the harm in this, others' bookshelves are always interesting (even if they're sometimes a better indication of what they want to be seen to have read i.e. the Jackie Collins/Dan whatsisface might somehow find their way into a deep, dark drawer ;) and wouldn't the set designers maybe move books around a bit, pick and choose some for Dr H to have (or maybe just with the right colour covers) ? So it might still cast light on his character (rather than Mr Reilly's ;).

Must admit, i'm slightly disappointed that Dr H doesn't have two copies of the same Potter book - liked the idea that he'd be such a big geek he'd buy two, one to read and one to keep ;).

Sorry Saje, the two orange books are Deathly Hallows. Next to it is a dark green book (possibly also with two copies) that I said was Half-Blood Prince.

I love seeing what people have on their bookshelves, in real life or on TV or in pictures. One of my favourite prints is this one by Charles Wsyocki, Frederick the Literate. (It's one third of a larger print.)
