I enjoyed the Superman: Doomsday movie, so hopefully I'll also dig this one.

I think I see what they're getting at, but technically that's exactly the opposite of her origin story.

Compared to Bruce Timm's dainty little Diana who was always made to look like a weak princess next to Hawkgirl, this looks like a big ole, ass-kicking Sigourney Weaver broad who will **** you up!
Me likey! Animated series, please!

Well, this is still a Team Timm production so the style is different to his previous character designs but it's still Timm, it's just different Timm (they made a conscious effort to separate these stylistically from his other DCAU stuff since they're intended to be stand-alones - must admit, I was sceptical at first but by and large I like the different approach).
Superman: Doomsday was excellent, but I didn't love New Frontier or Gotham Knight.
Heh, I feel the opposite, much preferred 'New Frontier' and 'Gotham Knight' to 'Doomsday' (which, JM's great performance as Lex Luthor aside, just felt a bit flat to me, especially considering the events depicted - I thought AB was good as Supes too BTW it's just that there's a bit less there to play so it didn't stand out as much as Lex). Funny old world ;).
