Some truly depressing bits in this.

Either Joss is talking to the wrong people or Silicon Valley have gone seriously downhill since the old days of fast reactions to new ideas. Or the disconnect between the creative Hollywood types and the techies are still going strong.

Maybe this is just because it's late and I'm tired, but I read the part about "Dr. Horrible" not being "in the black" (profit) yet, and I suddenly heard in my mind, "Take me out to the black ..." Who knew that the "Firefly" theme song was actually about "Dr. Horrible" turning a profit? :)

I'm one of the people who has been pushing for Joss to write a novel but really, he should be writing kids' picture books. That would also give him the visual side of things as well. Can't you just imagine it? And I'll bet he has ideas already.

Before November would definitely work for me! I like to get my Christmas shopping early so I can mail everything off in early December, and I plan to give away a lot of copies of the 'Doctor Horrible' DVD this Christmas!

I'd never thought about that before, Lioness, but what a good idea. Wouldn't it be nice if Joss could pair up with someone like Maurice Sendak? It has been said that Sendak's attraction to the forbidden or nightmarish aspects of children's fantasy have made him a subject of controversy -- perhaps his and Joss' visions would be a good fit?

I have thought about doing a "Buffy" musical but I wouldn't do "Once More, With Feeling." I would do a musical adaptation of the concept starting from square one.

Now that sounds interesting.

I love Dr. H, but I'm hoping Joss goes with the "something completely new" idea. I'm excited to see the different places he could go with this format. And we'll have Dollhouse for the (hopefully long) arc.
