I'm thrilled for Danny, who has certainly proven himself to have the chops to handle a major project such as this.
On the other hand, I have a sinking feeling that, with Macguire as the marque name star, the story itself is going to be about the handsome young white guy being the hero of Brown v. BoE...unless, of course, Thurgood Marshall will be played by the likes of Denzel Washington, or another black actor of his stature (and sadly, there aren't that many in Hollywood), who can carry the film himself. Still, I have confidence in Strong to do right by history and give us a worthy script.
Congrats to Danny! I have every confidence his script will do justice to the subject. How cool would it be to follow up that Emmy nom with an Oscar nod?

Since the story is apparently being taken from a book written by a white guy who was part of the case, I am guessing it will be from his POV. That does not mean he will be portrayed as the hero. IMO, reminding us how people have worked together in the past can certainly help remind us that we can work together now and in the future as well.
