Brian Rubin of Whedonopolis interviews Felicia Day.
"With all the things Felicia Day is involved in these days, from The Guild to Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog to House, we were fortunate enough to have a nice sit-down with the Writer/Producer/Actress on a busy Sunday morning in a Starbucks in Los Angeles."
*edited because as I stated, I can't spell. Sorry Brian!

And what's up with Brian not telling me he got this interview!
Whedonopolis is behind the OMWF screenings at Comic-Con the last 2 years. Among other things.

I don't remember the detail of ME Day being mentioned before, just that it was during the strike. It's a good thing those sharpie markers stayed unused during the picketing that day, so the great minds could collaborate.

One month later, they come knocking, and if you cannot answer three simple questions about the Whedonverse, you're taken to a three-month boot camp where you are indoctrinated in the ways of being a Whedon fan.
The Whedonpolis are everywhere. They are in your coffee shops, your libraries, your hospitals, your fast food restaurants.
They are RIGHT BEHIND YOU.

Just leapt out at me. Fortunately, it was friendly and didn't bite.

It makes me so happy that they've put the effort in to add subtitles. I'm not sure what percentage of the audience will find them useful, but for those few who do, it's absolutely invaluable. I don't know the number of professional DVDs I've seen without proper subtitling...
Technically, subtitles on DVD are a bit of a pain anyway, because they're very clumsy bitmaps, so you just can't make them look pretty, they'll always have jagged edges. There's nothing that can be done about that though, and at least they're readable.
And I am so buying that DVD. I've actually put off watching The Guild (I saw one or two episodes to see if I liked it) until the DVD release, because I'd just like to watch it all at once and not on YouTube.
ETA: And I've now pre-ordered. No mention of shipping costs though? They mentioned they're getting lots of international pre-orders, so I can only assume it's included in the price.
ETA, again: I'm blind, it says "pre-order for free shipping" in huge capitals.

It's official. I am totally girl-crushing on Felicia. I so dig that instead of simply whining about how much the Hollywood game sucks, she went out and wrote her own playbook. And is kicking ass with it.
Nice interview, Brian!

So if I had a website (which I do), devoted to Dr Horrible (which I do), what is the chance I could score a

Good interview, gave plenty of room for the answers. Ms Day just has such a lot of stuff inside, ideas and such - seeing her speak in interviews it's like a torrent (in the totally good way ;).
(and it sounds like the DVD will rule, now if only the site would let us donate I could give the P&P back, still feel a bit guilty about that)

That's why WE love Ms. Day. =]
Checking her FF every 5 minutes is one of my fun-things-to-do online. There's always something delightful to read there.
Try sending her an email, or leave a comment or her blog, and she will probably answer you.

Possibly the thing I like most about FD (and that would be from a substantial list) is demonstrated by the fact that at present the second most recent comment over at her twitter is a link followed by "AAAAAH! OMG! Ok, squealing over" - the link takes you to a story confirming a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic MMO. :)
(btw: currently the Dr Horrible twitter is "watching you watching me" - hehe ;)

Ok, maybe a little.

I'm betting that she'll be getting a lot more offers now that more industry people see 'Doctor Horrible' (I'm assuming that they will see it now that Variety and the LA Times has had articles about it).

Yes, during my Wok With Yan stir-fry phase. In retrospect, it would have been better to bake it.
samatwitch, do you know how many people I would have to kill before I would be able go Comic-Conning with a clear conscience? It's not worth the hassle.
I am very envious of you though. Do tell Felicia I said "mumble-mumble-mumble" if you have the chance.

Yikes. She's not? But, y'know... pretty! And cute! Very, very cute. Did I mention she's cute? *Swoon*
And she seems very intelligent and cool (and geeky, which is even better :)). I love how she's taking matters into her own hands and succeeding at it. I'm at the start of an unsure career as a freelancer (in - mostly - science journalism and some other side-projects), so although that's actually massively different, it's still sorta inspiring to hear her talk about it. <-- wait, did I just become one of those people at Q&A's who bore people with their own life-story without any clear and apparant need? ;)
Still haven't seen 'The Guild' though, but I'll definately order the DVD now. If I hadn't decided to do so already, this interview would've pulled me over.
Yikes. This may mean that I'm about to be swept up into MMO's as well. I'm finally getting a computer which was not built in the stone age, so I may even be able to play it once it comes out. Plus: KOTOR 1 & 2? Awesomest games ever!
Finally: is it just me, or is her official site not working properly? I'm getting a 404 not found message on her main page

(Wait, FD majored in mathematics? Add that to the growing list of great-things-about-FD: loves gaming, loves sci-fi and fantasy novels, can act, can sing, can write and is very cute? This does it, she's the perfect girl. Anyone think she'd accept online-mariage-proposals-that-honestly-are-just-fun-and-spontaneous-and-obviously-not-at-all-stalker-like-don't-be-silly? ;))
