(SPOILER) The Futon Critic reviews the Dollhouse pilot script. It's probably the most thorough examination so far and the reviewer says "this could be Whedon's most accessible work to date".

"what we already know, this one is a keeper"

With all these glowing reviews, I'm starting to worry that by the time the episode airs, my expectations are going to be too high to realistically be met.

"this could be Whedon's most accessible work to date"

I think so too. There are no monsters, no spaceships, no Western elements. People only have to understand the premise and some have to get over the title and then the show could really hit.

Yeah. Let the awsomeness just rain on Whedon!
Yet another shiny review. Wich of course is great and happy puppies.
I'm just waiting for the episode where someone wants Echo to work in a triplemeatpalace and *GASP*, is the meat human? Dolls? Whedon?

Basff - you aren't supposed to spoil the pilot!!! ;) Amusingly, it looks like you are saying that it could be human or Whedon separately.

Well, zeitgeist, we already know that Whedon isn't human. We're just a bit fuzzy on what non-human he is. :)

Sounds very promising - I'm looking forward to seeing the many faces of Eliza!

That better be an Olympic-sized pool (50m), otherwise Echo's 30 laps is kinda pitiful.

I wonder how small and cheap these new digital TVs can be, say at "Wal-a-Mart?" The house where I rent a room already has cable and I worked at RadioShack so I know how to splice. Of course I'd have to look for a recorder too so getting deep there.

This is what, the 6th script review? Somehow each one still gets me more excited for Dollhouse.

I loved that giant bats line! Altho did anyone else read it and just imagine Andrew saying it??

I'm almost certain that Claire is in the pilot script I read, at least that's what my memory is telling me.

Also, while I agree that Dollhouse is in some ways more accessible than other Whedonverse shows, I definitely feel like it's much less accessible in other ways. It's premise is definitely a lot easier to get into, but I think this show could get a little too dark for a great many people to handle.

Racoon Boy, the reviewer notes that Claire is "glimpsed but not actually seen" in the pilot. Do you remember her having dialouge in the script you read?

Yes, I just checked again, and she does indeed have a fair few lines of dialogue.
