As I said on Brian's blog: She looks cool, but I was kinda hoping it would be a male villain, since Spike: After the Fall was already seriously lacking in testosterone, with Frillyria, Spider and all the other harem girls in prominent roles. Ohwell.

Nah, it makes sense that Spike would be faced with a woman. He has serious female issues that still need to be worked out. ;)

Besides, what's wrong with smothering him with beautiful strong women? If he wants some guy action, there's always A:ATF.

Personally, I'm happy that there are going to be more female characters in the Spike series. As much as I like the comic, I think Angel: After the Fall is seriously lacking in well-rounded female characters (and I don't really count Illyria...God King, remember?) Nina and Gwen just seem to be on the sidelines with no real personality. It's disheartening because they are such cool characters...especially Gwen. I am still enjoying the comics, but that would be my main complaint.

I'm excited. I kinda hope that this new character creates some sexual intrest for Spike. To me that is what is lacking in all the comics. After all, what's wrong with a little sexual tension once in a while? And I know Spike won't go 'prancing off like a magnificent poof', either, he would be quite manly about it.

@luvspike Heee.. as soon as you said sexual tension I knew where you were going with it. "No not the hair never the hair, to the angel mobile away" :P

Anyway, I really want to see the rest of her, it's just a little piece of her face. :( Of course, that little piece is malicious, but the way that she carries herself, her costume, and her weapons say alot about her. All I know for sure is that I really want to read this book, and I wish I could give James a copy... in person. Perhaps he won't be so embarassed after he sees how badass a vampire Spike is in his own comic, heee...

I guess dulce was either referring to James's indignation over the Spike/Buffy/Angel threesome thing, or to his terror over Joss messing with his character even after he was done playing him. (Both expressed in conventions.)

Georges Jeanty: Interestingly enough, the only one I've actually talked to and had an occasion to speak with was just recently at Dragon Con here in Atlanta. James Marsters and Juliet Landau were down and someone had mentioned to James in his panel if he had seen the new Buffy comic and he said he hadn't and they told him that there was a very graphic image of him, Angel and Buffy and, of course, he was outraged and asked who would even think to do that and who wrote that issue and someone yelled out "Joss Whedon wrote it" and he said "Oh well, okay, if that’s the case, that's what Buffy and Spike and Angel are doing."
