There has been a few nibbles in the UK, but there's been issues. I believe both the Dublin and Edinburgh organisers had to pull out this year, and no one stepped up to take their place. There's still time for people to organise an event in the UK, but events won't happen without an organiser.

Actually, I was watching a programme whilst wearing grey pyjamas, but realised that the aluminium hat on my head was starting to analyse my thoughts. I thought- no offence, but in my defence I would rather write a cheque for jewellery than for a tyre.

I also know that when in England, one should never confuse a 'bum' with a 'fanny'.

But, 'yay' for CSTS. (Now that's something that we can ALL understand!)

Not nearly as well, Simon. You've got me, there. But all the more reason charity screenings should do well in the old English-speaking countries, that have the actual English in them, plus some others that were made to learn English at sword-point. 'Course, I don't know how well history is taught here, either.

I think perhaps the fandom may have peaked in the UK. I haven't heard of any Browncoat initiatives coming from there in a while.

Seriously, I'm not personally involved in it, but I know there's a lot of information available for those who would like to become become CSTS organisers (see, I can give).

Hey now, we speak the Queens English here in Oz, well sort of. I guess we're kinda like the bastard half breed of languages (sorry if anyone find that offensive). Half the people spell in English and the rest spell in American. What annoys me though, is to puclish in an American based journal you MUST spell in American. I doubt the English based ones insist the same. I have to get Americans to check my work before I submit.

Anyways, my point was, Australia has doubled its CSTS screenings this year. Real shame the UK don't have at least one city on the board. But as I said first (as long as I'm not going to get chastised for starting a sentence with a proposition, as grammar is so important on this site) There is still time, and I do believe there are possibly a few potential organisers trying to get screenings in the UK off the ground. If there are people here who are willing to, perhaps not be lead organiser, but be an assistant to one, well I'm sure that might help speed things up. Post on the Cantstoptheserenity.com forums to declare your willingness to help, and who knows what you might just kickstart.

Readability is really what we're after when we correct specific grammatical eccentricities. In any case, its widely known that starting sentences with prepositions is a great stress reliever, as is using anglicized spelling (reduces bloodpressure!) and adding 's' as a suffix to words that don't require it (chock full of vitamins!) ;) Ellipses are the eyes of god(s), seriously... Its just a tad creepy how they stare back at you like that... I trust you'll take this cheeky post in the manner in which it was intended.

Yes, taken as intended. And I blame Microsoft for the death of typed grammar. I seriously do not automatically type with capital I instead of i, nor do I type don't instead of dont because, after so many years of typing things up into Word, I'm used to autocorrect fixing it for me, and I found I got more work done by being grammatically lazy. I speak two languages, so I'm not by any means unfamiliar with grammar and its fun little quirks, but I seriously cannot type a full paragraph in correct grammar anymore. I have to type first and correct later, because even when I try, my fingers go on autopilot and I miss a bunch of them. And I'm so fanatical about it when, and if, I do any hand writing.

As previously mentioned, Los Angeles is set for Friday June 20th at 10 PM

Just finalized yesterday, Orange County (Irvine) is set for Saturday June 21st at 9 PM

And likely to be finalized today - San Diego on Sunday June 22nd at 7 PM.

That means SoCal is holding an entire weekend of Serenity screenings. And with one on each day, how many do you think will be going to all 3. I know I am. :)
