Except for a couple of instances, it looks like they went out of their way to show the actors having "gone downhill", so to speak. For instance, they mostly used publicity shots for the young versions and more candid public appearance shots for the older versions. I've seen much better recent photos of all of them.

This post reminds me of confusion I've had. Is Alyson Hannigan a natural red head? I could have sworn she was, but her new photo from HIMYM make me question that logic.

It depends on your definition of "redhead." Her natural color is a dark brown with reddish highlights - darker than what I generally think of as "auburn", but not quite as dark as what she's been wearing in HIMYM, as far as I can remember from early on in her career.

korkster; As far as I know (hah!) her sahde during 1st Season BtVS is her natural one, very dark with red highlights. Her current style covers the reddish to give her a more oridnary brunette look. The true red phase was defintely bottle red.

That does feel slightly as if they're proving a point. Certainly in the first section the "befores" were carefully lit and made up promo shots and the "afters" were often close-up red carpet snaps with the bright, direct lights and only whatever make-up the actors normally wear for these things.

(also, there's a potential spoiler for the 'Torchwood' finale on that page, has that aired in the US ?)

Does anyone else wish that they'd have used "Softer Side of Sears" Willow? That would have been great kitsch fun.

NB definitely looks better with age, as does DB. But there's just something I find really hot about him in S1, when he's all young and fresh-faced. Mayhaps it's because I lament the fact that he's, like, 15 years older than me. Now, I think he rivals George Clooney in GQ-style hot.

Charisma's look makes me sad, because I thought she was gorgeous back in the day, but now she looks very Hollywood fake.

Does anyone remember seeing MT in Harriet the Spy? I saw it in theaters when it came out and thought she was awesome. She was so cute and young!

Yeah, it would have been fun to see Amber and Emma. Well, wish in one hand...

ASH looked quite good as well, though I could do without the earring. It's kind of roguish and rakish; it's also kind of midlife crisis-ish. That could be because he's old enough to be my dad, though.

I still do wish they had used some of the stars' earliest shots, instead of stuff from the later seasons. I think that's when most of the stars had their biggest changes. (NB and DB, for example, filled out majorly).

Still, good procrastination tool.

AFAIK, ASH has worn an earring since way back and I guess folk don't just suddenly decide "Oh, i'm too old for that" - most people are around 18-20 in their heads IMO (though if they're lucky they're 18-20 year olds that've learned from their life experiences ;).
