Several Whedonverse franchises make Mahalo's list of best fictional brands.
Blue Sun, Doublemeat Palace, and Fruity Oaty Bars all make the grade.

The Opti-Grab made my heart happy. Hard to beat Acme as the best fictional brand ever, though.
I would think the Daily Planet would be a better brand than Wayne Enterprises. Then I read that Wayne Enterprises "owns several newspapers, including The Daily Planet." Why am I just finding this out now? It's like my whole life has been a lie.

Not to mention Bertha's Kitty Boutique, Beebopareebop Rhubarb Pie, Ralph's Pretty Good Grocery, the Fearmongers Association, and my personal favorite, the Ketchup Advisory Board.

Kwik-E-Mart does appear in the "Fast Facts" section on the right side of the page along with several other Simpsons brands that I'd long forgotten about. Canyonero, YAH!

The irony part? My new back-up "protection" browser that runs in back of Google, installed by my wonderful computer geek rapair guy after my last crash, wont let me access most of the content on "Mahalo".
I have all kinds of security on my computer, but sweet computer geek guy tells me I have "high risk web surfing habits", ergo the obligatory once a year infection and crash.
Ah well, better uncrashed than Mahalo'd. ;)

I was sorry to spot that in later seasons, when catching up on the earlier ones, and also on Angel, some real-life brands did make repeated and invasive appearances. I'm talking drinks but also Willow and Fred's unavoidable computer brands. Subtle much?

And telling the world about Jaffa Cakes isn't product placement, it's more like a public service ;).

Of course, that could just be that ME uses Macs, so they could just grab one and use it on camera.
