Geek - Stories of People Taking Things Too Seriously. Call for submissions: artists, writers, everyone... what are you a geek about?

If you're a geek and a webhead you'll probably know Fray.com, the collaborative storytelling site that's been around since the dawn of the web. If you don't... go check it out, it's a great place to read personal stories.

After a period of quiet while its founder, Derek Powazek, pursued other interests, Fray relaunched a couple of months ago and is now... a printed book.

Fray is still collaborative. Every issue of the book has its own theme. The next issue will be about geeks, you know... people like us who care perhaps just a little bit too much. Like Derek says: "So much that people around you don't understand."

Fray.com wants to publish your 'geek' story and they're looking for:

1. Artists. Any visual art (drawing, painting,
photography) on the theme. What does geek look like? Submit and vote at Pixish.
2. Writers. True personal stories, interviews with notable geeks, and articles on the theme. ~600 words. To submit, email geek@fray.com.
3. Everyone! Do the storytelling survey, asking for true stories from real people. Spare a minute to share yours?

"Submissions close in April. All submissions remain the property of their creators. If your work is chosen for the book, you still own it, we just ask for the right to publish it in the book and online. We cannot pay you, but we will send you a bunch of copies of the book."
