You are Toshiko
It's tough being a geek. People walked all over you in high school, and you're finding that adult life, sadly, isn't so different. But without you, our computers would crash, we couldn't program our DVD players, and our plasma screens would be on the fritz. Clearly, you're a necessary part of the operation, even if everyone else doesn't always realize it...
Which is close. I was a jock in high school, but that hardly made me popular.
Caroline | January 11, 20:29 CET
No one is really sure what exactly you do.
Sums me up.
Simon | January 11, 20:48 CET
You think with your heart. It's maybe not the most effective way of leading, but your sensitivity and compassion are strengths when it comes to dealing with people. However, "heart" gets a bad rap these days; ruthlessness and ambition are more prized qualities. But you get the job done, and you're usually able to live with yourself the next day. Now, about that little affair with Owen...

There's no "scream bloody murder" choice. Does no one scream on Torchwood??! Guess I'll be calm and run for my life...

ROTFL!!! Yeah, that's right. I'm a computer geek that can keep them from crashing. Damn. Someone should tell that to my PC 'cause it won't stop!

Smiths fans, anyone? ;)
I got Tosh. Which is perfectly fine with me, she's one of my favorite characters. Everyone has their value, even if no one notices the fact. :) Course, I''ll have to steer clear of anyone that gets Owen (critical, who me?). ;)

What's wrong with Owen - I turned out to be Owen (I think it's cause I really would like to talk to an alien and wouldn't assume it's about to eat me no matter how many legs it has!)
Ruadh | January 12, 00:54 CET
Wait, does that confirm their analysis? ;-)
newcj | January 12, 02:57 CET
And what better way of starting off the season with a 'bang' then dose of JM!
The new clip is wonderful. The whole thing looks like being so much more fun this season. *crosses fingers*

The clip is great. You can really see the change in tone already, which is a very good sign.
The pictures are terrific too. I love behind the scenes stuff. Love the one with John's arm around James' shoulder. Sweet. :0)

Now I have a major complaint. What's up with not being able to "save" the pics in the photo gallery? Is this standard on U.K. sites? I've never encountered it on a fan site before.
Umm, not that I actually would save them .... well, maybe the one with JB's arm around JM, that would look very sweet on my desktop ;-)
But mainly just a hypothetical question (Want those pics to save, damn it!!!)
OK, I'm Owen. What can I say?
Shey | January 12, 13:43 CET
Well, mostly. There is one especially gorgeous pic of John Barrowman I'd love to save, not posted there 'cause .... well, not Whedony.

Simon | January 12, 17:08 CET
Damn, he's good!
I really hope more work like this is on the way for JM. He is so good at this kind of thing. I mean, yes, he is good at the other stuff too, but he is amazing at playing the larger than life, complicated villains...especially those that have an extra helping of libido. ;-)
I don't know Dragonball Z at all, so I have no idea what his character is supposed to be like internally. This clip makes me want to do research.
"I wonder if 2000 AD will have anything to say about Captain John, as he does seem to be inspired by Nikolai Dante.

Simon | January 12, 17:19 CET
Nikolai Dante is a character in UK weekly comic "2000 AD" newcj. He's a likeable rogue and thief whose costume looks a bit like JM's in TW. ETA: Oops, like Simon says. And yep, I can see the resemblance though i've not actually read '2000AD' since Dante was created - stopped in the 80s with occasional dippings in the 90s.
(and Dante himself must owe more than a nod to everyone's favourite sci-fi con-man and thief, "Slippery" Jim De Griz, the one and only Stainless Steel Rat)

The short coat also gives the fans ammunition in the debate about whether JM has a backside or not. It may not have entered the decision making process in a strictly conscious way, but I have no doubt was a factor. ;-)

I, erm... There's a debate?
Wemb | January 12, 17:48 CET
Yeah, there's a section of the fan-dom that thinks he just has a big gap between the top of his legs and the small of his back. There're various theories as to what's in there, most seem to think it's either Lord Lucan or the winners of the 1953 FA Cup final (including subs and assistant coaches).
Saje | January 12, 17:58 CET
:-D
Wemb, just in case nobody told you, don't listen to Saje. He can be a devilish kind of boy.
I was joking about the deate. It is small, (Both the debate and perhaps the subject of the debate depending on who you listen to. ;-) ) and all in fun. JM keeps himself thin to be marketable and has a tendency to wear jeans that are a bit baggy in the back. Hence a tongue-in-cheek debate that probably serves more as a silly excuse to examine parts of photographs more closely than would normally be considered necessary, than an actual debate. Being a former assistant costumer though, it both occurred to me and tickled my funny bone that such things are taken into consideration when designing costumes.

"I want the job of the make-up woman. Of course I would lose the job as soon as I planted a big one on JMs lips, but it would be so worth it."
Heeee...amen sister!!!!!! It would be so totally worth it. Hell...I'd even work for free!
Torchwood is going to be awesome, but yeah Xane....I get where you're coming from about Without a Trace.
I still like that show though, and hopefully James will figure more prominently into some of the next episodes.
His return on Smallville is soon too I think!!!
Looking forward to Milton Fine/Brainiac's come back!!!!!
James has certainly been a very busy boy lately and that makes me insanely happy.

I hope this is wrong!

Whadddya mean ? This is totally me:
... i'm all about the heart thing, used to think with my elbow but that didn't turn out too well, it was bad at basic arithmetic.
(yeah, must confess i'm not 100% convinced this is a really accurate measure of personalities. Though in fairness I am almost always able to live with myself the next day - sure there've been a couple of times i've killed myself but those were very rare occasions and I soon got over it)

For instance, I can read this, but I'm not gonna translate it for y'all - it's highly illogical, and not very nice, and some of you are such Gwens.
QuoterGal | January 14, 00:21 CET
Heh ;). Actually answered as honestly as I could too. I wonder if the test has somehow got opposited so that Toshs came out Gwens ? My left knee wonders if we've slipped through the looking glass into bizarro world but I suspect that's rubbish - it's always been one of my sillier joints.
... but I'm not gonna translate it for y'all ...
Pfft. Puhhlease, I ran it past my left ventricle and it totally translated it for me. It means: du-dum, du-dum-dum, du-dum, du-du. Which is a message i'm sure we can all get behind.
Saje | January 14, 00:40 CET
So if that happened, what should those of us who scored as Tosh really be? Inquiring minds want to know.
Oh, never mind, we know you're just jealous. ;-)
newcj | January 14, 01:06 CET
Well, on the old "what character are you" BtS quizzes, I always came out as Spike ;_)
