I watched my husband play Halo 3 for hours because of our BDH's. Every time their voices were heard I'd tell Lee, husband, who was speaking. Made my fangurl heart burst with squee!
Adam had the best Firefly/Serenity reference lines in the game. He yells out "Here's Vera" and "Wouldn't it be nice if we had some grenades"! If stared at you can get his character to say "Dear Diary, today a big scary man stared at me and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would"! He calls you dumbass a lot too if you screw up too!
It was really cool early on in the game hearing Nathan's voice talking over the radio and signing off "Reynold's out" at the end of the message.
Nathan and Adam you can pick up throughout the game pretty easily but I had a harder time recognizing Alan's voice because he kind of gets lost in all the background racket. And Katee Sackhoff's character yells "Frak" a couple of times too. I love that they are obviously huge fans of both Firefly and Battlestar Galactica.

"Go to 37 seonds in and listen to the Marine that says "Let's mount up, get the h*ll out of these caves." Sounds just like him.
And he speaks again, at 2:17; "Best thing now, get some distance between us and the base. Brutes are going to be looking for survivors." "
Anonymous1, that definitely is him in those lines. He also makes a very Mal like comment in that part with the jeeps before you leave when he says, "If you can walk, put your boots to the line."
You can see (And hear) some more of the BDH's lines here:

Halo fans can be just as obsessive as Whedon fans, and they've been going through and recording the dialogue snippets. Scroll down to the "marine" lines (and be sure t click on "more marines" and you'll find such tasty tidbits as "But the Flood! Last few years, they just show up like the Bogeyman from stories. Eating people alive? Where's that get fun?" and "It ain't logical. I mean... I'll kill a man in a fair fight. Or if I think he's going to start a fair fight. Or if he bothers me. Or if there's a woman. Or if I'm gettin' paid. Mostly only when I'm gettin' paid."
Thanks for those Septimus - I've played through the game three times and I missed those! I think I heard part of the "kill a man in a fair fight" but missed the rest of it!
Yes, you can hear him talking to them over the radio a couple of times and at one point he says, "Reynolds out" as he signs off. You then meet up with him just as he's about to be killed by a Brute. If you save him he'll tell you about how all his men got killed.

"Next project he should be in: Two words — Green Lantern."
What a great idea!

Funny that they noted he had the same name, but not the same rank...

Of course we see the wartime Mal sarging it up a couple of times. I approve of this homage! Almost makes me want to play Halo 3.

So did you save Sgt. Reynolds on the first level?
