Nathan and Mike Rowe = BFF?
Skimming through the "Dirty Jobs" message boards at discovery.com and in the response to whether Mike Rowe would be interested in a charity screening of the show a la "Serenity," host Mike Rowe revealed a 'versy connection.
"I've never met Joss, but lived next door to Nathan Fillion for a few years in NY. Back in the Joey Buchanan days...A good actor, and a good friend."

And has anyone else noticed that there is pretty much never a negative thing said about Nathan? By fans or other actors? I mean, after a while of hearing all these positive accounts, you start to think maybe there's something to them. Maybe Nathan is genuinely a nice guy. I know it's not fair to judge someone on one experience, because my experience was glowing and wonderful and maybe he was just having a good day, but when you hear repeated stories about what a good guy he is...it's hard not to believe them....

I think someone should call Martin Firrell.

It was a fun comment and made sense to me. Mike Rowe is also very funny, can joke about himself, rolls right along with the action, and ain't shy at all about doing his own stunts. Those two have a lot in common.
Plus... handsome, charming guys, who you hope get in a situation where the shirt's just gotta come off. Yeah, that too.
.
Edited cuz of the heat... yeah, gorram heat wave...

Now he's added a lot more muscle, a bit more time has passed to give him character in his face, and working on so many manly dirty jobs seems to have added not just physical strength, but maybe also a depth that comes from challenging life experiences. It's obvious why Ford hired him to be the spokesman for their strong, tough pick-up trucks.
