Where's the Buffster? Time magazine looks at web traffic to fan fiction sites and finds the main archives rank within the top 200 Internet websites.

Firefly is a top search term, but what about Buffy and Angel?

As of the week ending Aug. 25, 2007, the site ranked in the 159th position of over 1 million websites, putting Fanfiction.net ahead of sites such as Apple.com.

And I have no idea why Buffy/Angel fanfic isn't listed because it should be.

Hmm... maybe someone should write a Buffy/Angel/Bonanza crossover to 'up' the numbers?

Frankly, I have absolutely no idea where a person would even begin!

ETA- Just checked the numbers on the site. Buffy has over 31 000 stories listed.
Bonanza has a grand total of...330.

I have no idea where the author got his stats from, but it all lead me to think that the author just may be the one with the Bonanza obsession!

Even more, who is writing Bonanza fic? To be sitting around actually thinking up stories involving Hoss and the gang? Wow.

Though, Angel was a fan; maybe After The Fall will be about his new life as a Bonanza fic author.

Bonanza and Gunsmoke fanfic, eh? Ooookay.

Maybe Buffyverse/Angelverse fanfic searches aren't up there because most fans find fanfic sites another way, through forums and other communities. I don't read fanfic any longer, but my impression is that most of the fan fic writers migrated to livejournal awhile back.

Oh, and Meltha? Thanks, now I'm traumatized too!

I'm proud of the dedicated 'verse writers keeping up their stories (well, in volume anyway).

I dunno, but doesn't Bonanza just scream slash in a way that few shows can? Jonny Quest, too, I guess, but Bonanza has little else to recommend it.

I mean, where do you think Hoss got his name?

I think fan fiction for Buffy and Angel has slowed down considerably over the last few years. I guess we need live action from Joss and the actors to inspire us to write more.
I mean there are only so many ways that you can start from the end of something and get Buffy and Angel to another point. We need a new ending point to start from. :)
