The 27-Percenters by Empire Magazine. A theory explaining the people who make a film 27% better just by appearing in it. They mention Nathan Fillion while someone in the comments section suggests Chewetel Ejiofor.

From the article:

As soon as the rest of the world wakes up and makes him A-list, Fillion will leave the list for bigger paydays.

totally agree with regards to Nathan Fillion. I've just flown back from the States and seen Waitress - what a fantastic movie! - adding to that Firefly, Serenity and Slither (No, I'M Bill Pardy), it's only a matter of time.... Desperate Housewives should get him that foot in the door. (Also his brilliant myspace blogs make him very audience accessible! Big fan...!)

What the comments have no mention of the wonderful cast commentary on the Serenity Collector's Edition DVD???

I agree with Nathan Fillion, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Oliver Platt all being on that list. And I think Alan Tudyk and Gina Torres belong on the list too. Their names in the Credits is enough to interest me in a film.

I saw Death at a Funeral this evening, and I stand by my naming Alan Tudyk as a "27%er". He stole the show. Got twice as many laughs as any other character in the film. Go, Alan! :D
