Ah buggrit. Still, creating's creating. It'd be nice to see Nathan's scenes actually made though.
(bets on said property ? Wondering about a "Have Gun, Will Travel" or 'Maverick' remake if it's a series, the field's considerably wider if it's a film please not 'The Searchers' pleeeaaassse !)
poltergeist, I am not the biggest fan of Nathan's (I think he is good, but just not the be all and end all that some think he is) and I am an extreme fan of James Garner so maybe it just means a bit more coming from me. :)
Yeah, I wasn't really expecting this to happen either. I mean, the IGN report said nothing about Joss liking it or actually developing it, and then Joss apparently didn't mention it at the panel thingy, so I wasn't really holding my breath.
Still, now I'm just sort of confused. How is it someone else's property if Nathan wrote it and gave it to Joss? Who is developing it?
I think there is a Western movie being developed somewhere and Nathan wrote "two wee scenarios" and sent them to Joss suggesting how cool it would be if they both got involved.
It is not Nathan's property. It is not Joss's property. No mention of whose movie property it is.

Now this is just getting to be too much T! Two boards and I still can't find a place to disagree with you. Just watched The Great Escape the other night and swooned at Jimmy Garner in that white turtle neck and jaunty hat again. Yup, one of my top ten films that one.
Hmm...Nathan would do a credible job with most of the roles Jimmy Garner was in. Huh.
The funny thing for me is that I started to write a post on the other thread a few days ago in defense of TV Maverick (I've been a fan of James Garner since I was a kid.) and to say that though I am not usually on the NF is a god bandwagon, I think he could do the James Garner roles better than anyone I can think of having come around for a while. He has more of an edge, but he also has the right sense of humor.

I hope he gets involved.

I've tried "Nathan would be perfect for..." with almost anything and it works.
