Amy's a reoccurring, not a regular, so not in the photos unfortunately. This show has a high level of pretty.

Richard Brooks is also missing from the photo. I am guessing they took the shot as soon as they had most of the cast set in order to have the shots ready by the TCA's since there was so much overhalling in the cast.

Yes they are pretty, in a generic TV kinda way.

This is one FOX show I want to succeed. So I'll support it, in my own meager way... even if it's got the life expectancy of a gnat.

I'm looking forward to seeing this. I'll admit that the premise doesn't grab me like other things do, but I want so badly for it to be a success.

Granted the premise is weird, but I'd rather watch it than yet another retread of the courtroom/hospital/police station/Special Crimes Against Vagina's theme. Also, the thought of Nathan vrooming along in a fast car is not entirely unappealing. *fans self*

If they keep the vehicle characterization from the original pilot, he's actually vrooming along in a big pickup truck. Even hotter, IMO, though that may just be my inner Texan talking.

I am not the most intense fan and even I have heard interviews where TM has bemoaned the fact that everyone credits him with working on BtVS when he didn't. I wonder if this fellow just really misheard him or did TM finally say "to hell with it" and go with the misinformation?

The premise isn't something I'm really enthusiastic about...but it's Tim, it's Nathan, it's Amy, it's on TV, and that's all I need to know.

Tim did direct a small part of the episode Fool for love, the boxer rebellion part - spike jumping - because he directed Darla.

I think Drive is to The amazing race what Lost is to Survivor (If you get my meaning). Thats not a bad thing and I like Tim Minear more than J.J. Abrams.

I'm worried about Fox's tendency to shuffle time slots. How good are they about keeping their website updated and accurate with when stuff is supposed to be on?

And where should we be sending the "Drive, why are you so awesome?" postcards? Y'know, when we've seen a couple of eps and know for reals that it is.

I'd hold off on the postcards. They're going for a 3 hour premiere, with the head of FOX saying yesterday "We're very excited about [Tim Minear's] Drive. We have every faith that this is going to be a top show for us."

So it might actually get promoted.

JJ Abrams shows might last longer, but Tim's shows are quality not quantity.

Wow, that's so optimistic. I read it as, "We think this show can swim. So we'll just throw it in the deep end and see if we were right."

Not that I'm cynical, or anything. (I mean, in the bet I've got going with friends, I'm the one betting all 13 eps will be aired. :-P)

The three hour premiere is spread over two nights. Two eps on the Sunday, one on the Monday. Variety are predicting that this may be the only Fox drama this year to get a second season based on the current launch plans.
