I always find it funny that in the US before you're 21 you can join the armed services,sign any type of contract including for a film or a tv series (as was the case with SMG) but you can't buy a drink

garda39, that is so true. My friend's daughter turns 21 in January. She's had three legal abortions without her parents' prior knowledge, but never tasted alcohol. Now I hear her goal is to go to one of those western democracies that still has a monarchy and become a princess. Strange girl, or maybe just ambitious.

I'm sure she feels she merits it--her dad's been calling her Princess since she was a toddler. And now that I think about it, that whole monarchy thing seems even sillier than the US law.

Hard to believe she's 21. I'm into Season 7 now of my rewatching Buffy, and the transformation she's made between S. 6 & 7 alone shocked me. Happy B-Day Michelle!

She's probably been across the border and drinking in Mexico before, where it's pretty much "16+ or if you're tall enough to see over the bar".

Or she's traveled to Canada where you can buy liquor at 19. But Mexico's likelier (and generally more fun).
