Mmmm, Adrian Pasdar. Another verse connection there. Pasdar played Jim Profit in David Greenwalt's pre-Buffy show "Profit".

I'm looking forward to this show. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Although it is still very early in the year, I have to admit that this is the only new series that has caught my attention from the 2006/2007 season schedule so far. The concept for the show is not a new one, in fact it reminds me of the basic idea of Marvel's New Universe experiment from the mid 1980's, but if done well then this has the potential to be very good indeed.

Of course, as Mutant X has previously shown us all, it could also go very, very wrong. Fingers crossed though.

That looks like a good show. Or at least I am hoping, usually the pilots I think are going to grab me usually end with my feeling disappointed. It's usually the shows I don't have much hope for that blow me away, IE Buffy and Veronica.

I think it looked pretty cool. I wasn't really expecting it to be like that at all, from the snippets I had read I assumed it would be a kind of comedy. But I was quite impressed with that, and will be watching it with interest. I didn't catch Leonard Roberts in the trailer though.

I have firmly pinned my cynicism to the mat and am wholeheartedly looking forward to this show. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't do something stupid like put it up against LOST.

skeezycheeses, Heroes will air Mondays at nine, up against comedy blocks on ABC and CBS, and new dramas on Fox and CW. I don't think that's big competition.

I was really looking forward to this pilot that is until I actually saw it (I wrote a review of the pilot here a few weeks ago).

Suffice it to say, I was really, really, really let down. This was probably the pilot I was most excited about and it did not live up to the expectations at all. AND in the version I saw, Leonard Roberts AND Greg Grunberg were both MIA.

Yeah, this is a very interesting concept, but I'm not thinking that it looks too good based on what I've seen.

And, yeah...it sounds like we've heard this all before. I still need to start watching The 4400, and it seems to bear some similarities to this, plus it looks much better...

I like to think that we'd all give it a chance anyway, whether we think it'll suck or not. I, for one, haven't been this excited about a show since Battlestar Galactica debuted.

I'm kind of on the "support it even if you don't exactly like it" wagon because we're still facing tough competition from cheap-and-easy reality tv, which get a ton of ratings, but don't really contribute to the advancement of the human mind. Dramas, science fiction, and on some level, comedies, those do that, and I tend to support any show that comes on, at least unless I'm absolutely convinced it just isn't well done.

It is helpful to remember that "pilot" episodes can be re-shot, re-written and re-cast so that what finally appears on TV may be very different than the pilot made for the network executives during pilot season. Buffy's pilot is a case in point.
