Official: 'Day Break' and 'Brothers and Sisters' get picked up by ABC.
Jeff Bell's new show which stars Adam Baldwin (seemingly best known for his guest stint in NCIS) looks to air mid-season. However Marti Noxon's latest show will air this Fall on Sundays at 10pm. Update: In other news, Veronica Mars got renewed.
Fox will announce its schedule on Thursday so we may get word one way or another about what going on with Tim Minear's 'Drive'.
The CW's schedule is also out on Thursday so Smallville fans will found out the fate of that show.

Yeah I kinda knew that.
In a semi related topic, I really recommend Bill Carter's "Desperate Networks". Excellent book which has a behind the scenes look at the major players in the US networks, loads of interesting info about how a show is picked up and a great overview of the last few years in American television.

As for VM, there's some buzz from aint-it-cool.com she'll get a reduced season of 13 episodes

I had the same thought, but I would think that he could start changing the day right at the beginning so that the day is different or mostly different each time. The thing that would wear thin for me I think, is that since it is a TV show it can never be resolved. It will always have to end with the same result each episode. It will be a hard line to walk to keep it from seeming pointless or hopeless.
